The theme of my work in the last five years has been Decay. With Exceptions To Life, I tried to show the link between life and unlife, and the beauty I tried to show as an Exception to it. With Decay, I put myself in the role of the observer, not so much painting the details of a slow decay, rather than recording my observations and allowing them to translate into my paintings. I have never viewed my work in relation to fine art, rather I hope to convey a feeling to the viewer, and perhaps bring them a step closer to the emotion and vision that I had in each piece.
