George Lindmark has been passionate about Pin-up Art ever since that fateful
day in 1972 when, at the age of twelve, he bought his first Vampirella
magazine. He is a native Chicagoan and graduate of The American Academy of Art. He started his life long artistic career in kindergarten, with a winning "Halloween Costume" design displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago. A Sci-fi / Fantasy fanatic and self-taught Airbrush artist, he worked at his father's custom paint shop in the 70's and 80's, painting murals on motorcycles and vans. His first art job involved creating artwork for Pin-ball and Video games. It was here that he was introduced to the game Dungeons & Dragons and some of the artists that went on to work for TSR, now Wizards of the Coast. "All of us grew up with the same great artistic influences, Frazetta, N.C.Wyeth, Howard Pyle, it was a very creative experience." He then started his own company, consulting with Toy and Game inventors, developing retail product. Presently, he is Senior Director of Development for McDonald's Happy Meal Toys. He and his wife reside in the western suburbs of Chicago where he is studying the techniques of the Old Masters as he continues pursuing his true love, creating |
