Even though the initial idea was to start in the School of Fine Arts she finally decides she would like to study more specific techniques in the illustration field, moreover the classical knowledges.In this moment she knows the C-10 Creative Workshop where she got in the illustration and airbrushing field guided by one of the best spanish illustrators, Carlos Díez .Soon they begin to work together in several projects like books and games among others.
In 1998 she goes to the GENCON and gets in touch with the most famous fantasy artists and is acclaimed by her art.Little time later she moves from Madrid to the beatiful seaside little town of Sitges, close to Barcelona. Since then, she works making interior and cover illustrations for SF, Fantasy and Horror magazines, books, videogame covers, concept design for film and commissions for american and europe companies in this field. In Barcelona she gets in touch with the most important spanish erotic magazines, where she begins to publish inmediatly.Beatiful Women always appeared in her fantasy works so she finds in this way she can mix the study of woman´s body and play on the fantasies and desires of her public. She capturates in her works this exactly moment of atraction and provocation playing with the Sonia´s skill in using a variety of techniques.
It is in this moment that she concentrates in woman´s body that she gets the highest levels in her art, showing it in the covers of the best erotic european magazines.
In 2002 she showed her art to Robert Bane and inmediatly began to have a permanent exhibition in the Tamara Bane Gallery. From this moment her name appears beside renowned artists like Olivia and Hajime Sorayama. She is receiving commissions all over the world and her work appears in the best magazines of the genre.
Sonia Rojí´s art is quickly achieving international recognition and promise to be one of the brighest artists for the future.Her attitude is anything but complacent and tries to become more and more perfect with long hours of hard work. Sonia lives in Galicia (Spain) with her husband Angel and their two cats Kyla and Lua, where she has found all the necessary to concentrate in her work. In her free time she likes to walk by seaside and doing little sculptures of fantastic beings.
